Production Planner

Annual Salary: £22,000 - £24,000

Department/Section: Aspire Manufacturing Plant, Production Office

Main purposes of job: As a Production Planner you will be responsible for planning the production workload for each day, planning and procuring materials, you will also be responsible for day to day activities throughout the production office such as processing and managing orders. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager & Production Manager

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Production Planner

  • Using production planning tools, you will optimise the workload on the factory for each day, setting job lists and production targets to ensure customer demand is met.
  • You will be managing orders through the production and dispatch process
  • Using MRP software, you will order and plan delivery of materials into site based on the demand required to meet production, while operating within a ‘Just in Time’ model.
  • General day to day production office duties including:
  • Completing work orders on the factory ERP system
  • Invoicing complete orders from the system
  • Parts and products system uploads
  • General office administration

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience working in a production planning role

Preferable

  • Previous experience working in a production planning
  • Previous experience working in a procurement planning roll
  • Experience in order processing, parts management and warehousing in a production environment
  • Experience using and interrogating manufacturing Enterprise Resource Planning systems and MRP system

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication

Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager & Production Manager

Further Information:

  • 1.5x overtime for hours worked over 38 hours per week
  • Profit driven bonus
  • Contract Type – Full time contract with 6 months probation period
  • Working Hours – 38 hours per week
  • Semi flexible working hours dependant on office cover however, must be in the office every day
  • Office open Monday to Friday – 7am to 5pm
  • Paid 10 minute morning and afternoon break
  • Unpaid 30 minute lunch break
